    Ricardo Arredondo Calmache Arredondo (Cella, Teruel, 1850-Toledo, 1911) was a Spanish painter. He came to Toledo at twelve years of age together with his father and brothers, under the protection of his uncle, the eldest of the kings chaplain, Francisco Arredondo and Villanueva. He attended Matias Moreno's workshop and then moved to Madrid to continue his training at the School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving, as a student of Charles de Haes. He also traveled to Paris, where he became acquainted with Ernest Meissonier.

    He participated in some editions of the National Exhibition of Fine Arts, obtaining third medal in 1884 and 1895, with the paintings entitled A Garden Misfortune hunting and Toledo...
