    Richard Eurich (1903-1992)

    English painter Richard Eurich studied at Bradford School for Arts at Crafts in 1922, and continued his studies until 1926 at the London Slade School of Art under Professor Henry Tonks. As a student, he met the art patron Sir Edward Marsh, who organized his first exhibition in 1929 with pencil drawings at the Goupil Gallery. In 1933, Marsh organized another exhibition at London's Redfern Gallery, with which Eurich continued to work for another 25 years. Between 1941 and 1945, Eurich worked as an official war artist. From 1949 to 1968, he taught at the Camberwell School of Art and from 1969 to 1971 at the Royal Academy Schools.
