    Richard Schloesser was a German artist born in Hanover in 1879. He studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Hanover and later at the Dresden Academy. Schloesser was active in Hannover-Waldhausen from 1906 and taught at the Hanover School of Arts and Crafts from 1906 to 1933. He created mosaics and frescoes for the New Hanover City Hall, which was inaugurated in 1913. Schloesser was a member and board member of the Hanover Art Association and a member of the General German Art Association and the Reichsverband bildender Künstler Deutschlands. He died in Hanover in 1962....
