As a teenager, he was heavily artistically influenced by many nationally and locally known artists such as Melvin Warren, C.A. (Cowboy Artists of America), James Boren, C.A., A.D. Greer, Dalhart Windberg, Joe Rader Roberts, Gary Lynn Roberts, and some association with G. Harvey. He studied and learned many of his fine techniques form these well-respected and talented individuals. Rick is an extremely talented artist in many different mediums.
