About Robert Leroy Knudson

  • Biography

    A graduate of the Minneapolis Art Museum School in 1950, Robert Knudson is a painter of Western scenes including landscapes and Native Americans. He has works in the Museum of Northern Arizona and William Penn Memorial Museum.

    Knudson worked in advertising art, color photography and business management until 1963 when he became an instructor at the Kachina School of Art in Phoenix. Knudson's specialty is the ancient culture of the Hopi and the Navajo. This artist was featured in the December 1987 issue of "Southwest Art" magazine.
