Robert Sgarra is a self-taught artist who discovered painting at the age of 13. He was influenced by the great masters of painting and possesses a broad technique mastered and accomplished in the service of a flamboyant inspiration. He is both a sculptor and painter, and his work is imaginative, inventive, and daring. Sgarra varies shapes and colors, depending on his mood and his humor, always with the same passion that haunts him.
