    Roger de la Corbiere (1893-1974)

    He was born in Vouneuil-sur-Vienne, France, in 1893, July 22, and died in Paris at the age of 81 on Sept 3, 1974. On August 2, 1922, he married Marthe Germaine Page (1891-1975) in Paris. He had two daughters.

    He was influenced by Paul Signac (1863-1935), who helped him to start in La Rochelle at the beginning. He was a friend of Maurice Denis (1870-1943) and of other " Art-Sacré" painters in Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Jean Souverbie (1891-1981) was one of their friends, as well as Lucie Tullat.
