    The painter, graphic designer and designer Roger Pfund received his education at the Bernese School of Applied Arts and the graphic designer Kurt Wirth. From 1969, the three-time winner of the Federal Fellowship for Applied Arts collaborated artistically with his wife Elisabeth.

    Two years later, he won the tender for the design of new banknotes launched by the Swiss National Bank. His design was considered in the episode but only for the reserve series.

    In 1992, the French 50-franc note went into circulation with the portrait Antoine de Saint-Exupéry designed by him, and in 1996 he reached the final round in the design of the euro notes in the section "Abstract and Modern".
