    Roger Vuillem, 1897-1973

    Painter, born in Brest or Besançon (France) in 1897, Roger Vuillem died in Neuchâtel, Switzerland in 1973, where he lived since 1954.

    During World War I, he was a pilot in the French Air Force. In the late 1940's, he became a painter of the street in Montmartre. In 1949 he won a first price dispensed by the Société Lyonnaise des Beaux-Arts.

    He has exhibited other places including Switzerland, Paris, Rio de Janeiro and Montreal. He used the techniques of oil, gouache, watercolor and wash tint.
