    Roland Pichet RCA (1936 – 2003)

    A prominent French Canadian painter, printmaker, illustrator, and educator, Professor Roland Pichet was born in Montreal (Verdun area), Quebec and other than for travel lived his whole life in Montreal and its environs. His works are in over a dozen important museum collections including Tate Modern and the National Gallery of Canada.

    His mediums were oils, acrylics, watercolors, gouache*, pastel, serigraph*, lithograph* and etching*. His best known subjects are rural snow covered landscapes; however early in his career he was an abstractionist the subjects being color, shape, texture and line.
