    Roland Svensson was a Swedish artist who portrayed the Stockholm archipelago environment in his artwork. He sought his motifs among cobs and skerries outside the area of the summer residence and studio on Tornö, across the strait at Långsvik on Möja in the Stockholm archipelago. He worked in various techniques including oil, watercolor, charcoal, and graphics, and conveyed an almost impressionistic ability to observe. His view of Swedish nature and Swedish types of people shows a close relationship with Karl Nordströms and Albert Engströms. Roland Svensson is also close to the artists' associations, for example Axel Sjöberg, who also showed his love for the eastern archipelago in his paintings.
