    Romano Zanotti was born in 1934 in Moio della Civitella, Italy, and died in 2019 in France. Zanotti was an Italian painter whose work explored the intersection of kinetic art, constructed abstraction, and visual rhythm. He began his artistic career in 1954, initially working in figuration before turning to perceptual abstraction in the 1960s.

    Zanotti’s practice was shaped by his encounter with Michel Seuphor, leading to his involvement with the CO-MO (Constructivisme et Mouvement) group from 1967 to 1972. His compositions—often based on serial structures, chromatic spirals, and circular expansions—explored the tension between geometry and vibration, light and movement.
