About Rowland Fisher

    Rowland Fisher lived in his hometown of Gorleston his entire life; the son of a mariner, he entered into a life-long career at a ship timber yard, giving him the knowledge and experience to become an accomplished ship modeller. His great understanding of the sea aided him in his marine painting, for which he is most renowned; his ships are dramatically and expertly depicted due to life-long experience by the ocean.

    While his marine works may be the most recognizable, Fisher`s body of work also includes Norfolk landscapes and continental scenes.
