    Rudolf Kügler was a German artist who was a student of Max Kaus and later became a professor of free painting at the Berlin University of the Arts. He was an important representative of abstract art in post-war Germany and participated in numerous international exhibitions, including Documenta 2 in 1959. He was known for his enamel paintings and later found a second home in Ibiza.
