    The North German artist, Rudolf Hockner was trained at the Art School in Weimar under Theodor Hagen and graduated in 1890 with a diploma. In 1895 he moved to Flensburg and then to Munich in 1905. In both cities, he worked alongside his artistic work as editor.

    After 1907, he worked as a freelance artist. In 1915 he moved with his wife to Wedel on the Elbe. He only spent his final two years in Bad Mergentheim. In his Impressionist work he devoted himself to the northern German landscape....
