    Salomon Rombouts was a Dutch painter. He was the son of the painter Gillis Rombouts, with whom he may first have studied. He was admitted to the Haarlem Guild in 1678.

    A landscape painter, his work reflects (and sometimes imitates) the Haarlem landscapes of Ruisdael and more particularly of Cornelis Decker (1625-78). He was in Florence in 1690.
