She studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts from 1987-91 and at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna from 1991-97 where she attended the master class of Prof. Frohner. After graduation numerous study trips followed, including Nepal, India, China, Tibet, Vietnam and Japan. Since 1995 Saša Makarová has been represented in numerous group and solo exhibitions. The artist lives and works in Vienna.
