He attended the School of Art in Palermo and moved to Milan, following the courses of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, where he graduated. In 1963, with a series of solo and group exhibitions throughout Italy, he began his artistic growth, which saw him work with artists such as Guttuso, Sassu, Fiume.
He has taught painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo and at the Academy of Carrara. From 1979 he became a professor of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan.
