    Shaolin Jo Seok-jin is a painter who was active from the late Joseon period to the modern era. Jo Seok-jin learned to paint from Jang Seung-eop, and he gained a reputation as a painter, especially excellent at landscape paintings and fish and sea paintings. In addition, he participated in the work of King Gojong's aunt of Eojin and worked as a leader at the time, along with Ahn Joong-sik. In 1911, he founded the Seohwa Art Center and served as a professor along with Ahn Jung-shik. It played a central role in art education in the modern era, such as focusing on teaching traditional calligraphy and painting.
