    Zhang Shuqi, also known as Shizhong, was a Chinese artist from Pujiang, Zhejiang. He was a disciple of Lu Fengzi and was hired by Xu Beihong as a professor of the Art Department of Nanjing Central University in 1929.

    During the Anti-Japanese War, he went to the United States to set up a painting academy, taught and painted, and later settled in San Francisco. He was known for his diligence in sketching and color design, especially in the use of powder on dyed antique rice paper.

    He used white powder to dip in color and dye it with white powder. His works have been collected by the President of the United States.
