    Zygmunt Sidorowicz was born in Lviv in 1846. After completing his studies at the Polytechnic in Lviv, thanks to the scholarship he obtained, he went to Vienna, where in the years 1864- 1867 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts. In 1867 Sidorovicz organized an exhibition of his works in Lviv. In 1873, he went to Munich for several years, where he traded in the circle of painters associated with Józef Brandt. He had a joint workshop with Aleksander Kotsis and Walery Brochocki. In 1878 he permanently moved to Vienna. He painted portraits and genre scenes, but most of all romantic landscapes, sensitive to the climate and light of dusk or early morning, painted "more from the sensation of nature than from studies" where "in each brush t...
