    Despite having studied with Joan Lahosa at the Baixas Academy in Barcelona, Busom can be considered a mainly self-taught artist. He worked in both painting and engraving, and had his first solo exhibition in 1959 at the Sala Vayreda in Barcelona.

    He continued to show his work in the following decades, mainly between Madrid and Barcelona, in galleries such as the Parés gallery in the latter city. As part of group exhibitions his work has also been shown in Paris (Grand Palais in 1979 and Drouant gallery in 1989) and Santo Domingo (1980).

    His works are currently in the most important collections in Spain, notably the Reina Sofía, the Modern Art Museum in Pontevedra, the Huesca Museum and the Valls...
