From the age of 18 I trained as a Nurseryman/Landscape Gardener serving an apprenticeship before moving to London for a 5 year working holiday. The highlight of my travels through Europe was visiting the many art galleries and it was here that I developed a strong interest in Impressionist painting. In 1990 I moved to Sydney where I became a full time artist. Living by Sydney harbour I developed an interest in painting marine landscapes and the sunny dry climate of Sydney suited my preference for painting outdoors.
