    In the years 1892-94 he studied at the Krakow School of Fine Arts, among others. under the supervision of Florian Cynek, Izydor Jablonski and Wladyslaw Luszczkiewicz. Then he continued his education at the Stanislaw Grocholski School of Drawing and Painting in Munich, where he lived until 1901. In the same year he married Jadwiga Younga de Lenie.

    After returning to the country, he settled permanently in Kraków, which became one of the leading themes in his landscapes. He regularly traveled to southern Europe, especially Italy. The result of these travels are numerous Mediterranean landscapes, such as those from Capri, as well as vedutes from Italian cities, Venice and Verona.
