In the years 1899-1900 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts under the direction of Jan Stanislawski and Jacek Malczewski. Then, after 1900 he studied at the Königliche Kunstgewerbeschule in Munich and the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris with Jean Léon Gérôme. After returning home, he settled in Zakopane. In 1910 he traveled to Italy (landscapes of Capri) and the Crimea. In the years 1912-1916 he taught at the School of Professional Kolomyja, and in 1916-1931 in the Wood Industry School in Zakopane.... Read full biography
