    Stanislaw Klimowski was born in 1891. He was a pupil of Jacek Malczewski, Teodor Axentowicz and Konstanty Laszczka at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. He made his debut in 1911 at the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Krakow. During the Great War, fighting in the ranks of the Austro-Hungarian army, he made works depicting the life of soldiers at the front. In 1918, he married Helena Grenikówna and in 1920 he settled in Nowy Wisnicz, where he actively created. From 1951 Stanislaw Klimowski was a teacher at the local Secondary School of Fine Arts.
