    The artist earned a BFA in painting & photography in 1992 from Lander University in Greenwood South Carolina and was a Master Black & White Photographic Printer for several years.

    In recent years some of the estimated 3000 to 4000 small works and some large have started to find their way into the secondary auction market and catalogs.

    The artist is known for working in a southern black folk art style with his homemade paint made from the red soil in Georgia known as The Georgia Red Mud Paintings, contemporary large scale figurative oils known as the Estranged Paintings as well as a loose combination of these styles exploring southern narratives and "tall-tales". One such work is titled Redneck Dog.
