Born in Mumbai in 1961, Sudarshan Shetty was trained at the J.J School of Art, Mumbai. In 1997, he was awarded the Sanskriti Award, from Sanskriti Pratisthan, New Delhi. He was also awarded the Charles Wallace India Award at The Art Space in Bristol.
