    Takashi Nakayama (1893-1978) was a Japanese watercolorist, working in a style that combines influences from traditional Japanese ukiyo-e prints and Western painting.

    His son Tadashi Nakayama (1927-2014) was also an artist and woodblock printmaker, and the two are often confused due to the similarity of their signatures.

    His work changed its direction in the 1940’s. He began working in a modern style and was influenced by the changing world. His work can be found at the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo Japan.
