Teodor Ziomek studied drawing at the Warsaw Drawing School under Wojciech Gerson, and between 1897 and 1901 continued his artistic training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in the studios of Leon Wyczólkowski and Jan Stanislawski. He belonged to the Society of Polish Artists “Sztuka,” the Association of Artists “Bractwo,” the Polish Marinists, and the Warsaw artistic group “Pro Arte.” He also collaborated with the Warsaw monthly Sfinks.

Moody, atmospheric landscapes—particularly views of Mazowsze and the Vilnius region—form the core of Ziomek’s oeuvre. His works are represented in numerous museum collections, including the National Museum in Warsaw, the National Museum in Kraków, and the Maritime Museum in Gdansk.
