    Tjipke Visser was a Dutch artist known for his sculptures, public monuments, and bookbinding designs. He was a key figure in the Bergense School art movement and settled in the artist village of Bergen in 1907. Visser created animal figures inspired by visits to Artis Zoo and crafted statues of public figures like Abraham Kuyper and Pieter Jelles Troelstra. He also designed book covers for works by Louis Couperus. Visser's daughter, Marijcke Visser, followed in his footsteps as a visual artist. He passed away in 1955 in Bergen.
