    Tomasz Ciecierski is a Polish artist born in Krakow in 1945. He studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and obtained a diploma in the studio of Krystyna Lada-Studnicka. Ciecierski made his debut among the talented creators of the so-called new figuration of the 1970s, distinguishing himself from the very beginning by his individual style and treatment of form. He is known for his paintings and drawings, which often feature crowds of small, moving figures mixed with signs, letters, or ideographs. He has participated in many group exhibitions of international importance, such as the Cagnes-sur-Mer Festival, the Sydney Biennale, the Sao Paulo Biennale, and "documenta" in Kassel.
