He divided his life between Warsaw and his house near Kazimierz. Nature and landscape were his natural environment and inspiration. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and previously graduated from the University of Technology. His work is the result of careful observation of motifs selected from the environment and repeated many times: closed gates, roads, hills, ravines, water and boats floating on its surface or dogs wading in it. Since 1984, he has collaborated with the Foksal Gallery in Warsaw.
