    Tommaso Cascella (1890-1968), an Italian landscape painter and majolica artist was a resident in Pescara. He was a pupil of his father with whom together he painted the Palazzo Reale in Bolzano.

    For a short period of time he studied at the Academy in Rome and then continued studying in Paris.
    He created mural paintings in the Banca di Napoli in Pescara. His main body of work is often dominated by figural or animal staffage equipped landscapes that are mostly of heavy gloomy atmosphere.

    In addition there are portrayals of farming life in the Abruzzi and from the First World War. Cascella created murals at the Consiglio Provinciale in Aquila. (tmi)...
