    Tytus Czyzewski is one of the most important heralds of the Polish avant-garde. Both his works and his activity in the field of artistic life marked the most important breakthroughs in modernist art in the second and third decades of the 20th century. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, he left for Paris in 1907, where he became acquainted with the latest modern trends. His stay on the Seine in 1910-12 was the time to learn about the theory of cubism. Czyzewski's undeniable contribution to the development of the Polish avant-garde was the transmission of the formulas of cubism, futurism and Dadaism to the native soil, which allowed here to undermine the naturalistic dogma of painting and hatch to Polish expressionism. ...
