    Valerie Hinz AAEA (b. 1956)

    A well-known Canadian painter of horses, Valerie Hinz was raised on a farm near Muenster, Saskatchewan and currently lives in in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

    Her mediums are oil on canvas and oil on Masonite. Some of her paintings have been reproduced as giclee* prints. Her principal subjects are horses and equestrian activities. Additional subjects include livestock, wildlife, domestic animals, rural landscapes and cowboy genre*. Her primary style is Impressionism*, however, earlier works were Photo Realistic* (Hinz refers to them as High Realism).
