    Victor Demanet was born in Givet (Ardennes) in 1895 and died in Ixelles near Brussels on February 7, 1964. He was a French-Belgian sculptor. Demanet was a student of D. Hurbin and C. Meunier and regularly participated in the 'Salon des Artistes Français', of which he became a member, receiving a third medal in 1935. His work was part of the art competitions at the 1924 Summer Olympics, the 1932 Summer Olympics and the 1936 Summer Olympics.
