    Victor Tardieu was a French artist who was trained at the School of Fine Arts in Lyon and the School of Fine Arts in Paris. He won the first national prize and a scholarship in 1902, which allowed him to travel to Europe and paint the ports of London, Liverpool, and Genoa. He exhibited an oil on canvas entitled Work at the Salon of the Society of French Artists in 1902, which won him the prize. He founded the Indochina School of Fine Arts with Nam Son and was the Director of the School of Fine Arts of Indochina. His paintings depicted the life of workers and laborers in big European cities with realism and power....
