    Vincenzo Ciardo was born in 1894, in Italy. Vincenzo attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino, Italy. In 1920, he moved to Naples, where he was influenced by realism, which had roots in naturalism of the Posillipo School. In 1927, Vincenzo became part of the Flegreo Group, and the Neapolitan twentieth century, updating its painting towards post-impressionism, inspired by Paul Cézanne and Pierre Bonnard. This movement was also one of the protagonists of the bohemian experience of the Latin Quarter in Naples. Vincenzo Ciardi died in 1970.
