Lin Wen-Chiang was born in 1943 in Taiwan, and received artistic training at National Taiwan Academy of Arts. He won the Gold Prize of Taiwan Provincial Art Exhibition in 1977, and afterwards went abroad for further study in France. Upon Lin's art, it was, at early 1940s to 1950s, farmer's poverty and life's hardship that touch his heart. In fact, Lin once had quite a reputation in art field during 1990s.
