Upon his return to England, an important exhibition: 'Water Colour Drawings made in Egypt, The Nile, Cairo, Pyramids by Wilfrid Ball', was held at Messrs. Thomas Agnew and Sons, London, in 1895. He returned to Cairo, and then to Khartoum, in 1916 to work on military accounts. He died in 1917.
