    Wilhelm Theodor Nocken was a German landscape painter born in 1829 in Düsseldorf, where he also died in 1905. He initially trained as a painter and studied at the Düsseldorf Academy with various artists, including Johann Wilhelm Schirmer. Nocken was a member of the Düsseldorf artists' association "Malkasten" and exhibited his work in various cities in Germany. He is known for his landscape paintings and is represented in the Grand Ducal Collection in Baden-Baden and the Museum Altenburg.
