    William Griffith Roberts RCA, OSA, CSPWC (1920 – 2001)

    A prominent Canadian painter, printmaker, muralist, cartoonist and educator, William Griffith Roberts was born in Nelson, British Columbia, lived in Ontario (Milton and Ayton) from 1945 to 1986, and died in Weymouth, Nova Scotia (on St. Mary’s Bay) where he had lived since 1986. He was a teacher at the Ontario College of Art*, a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts*, and a member of the Executive Council of the Ontario Society of Artists*. His works are in the permanent collections of numerous important Canadian museums including the National Gallery of Canada.
