    Noted Provincetown Artist

    PROVINCETOWN, Mass. - William Maynard, 94, a noted Provincetown artist, died Thursday, January 21st at Seashore Point Wellness Center in Provincetown. His wife Gladys (Wilcock) Maynard, also an artist of note, died in 2004.

    Following is an Obituary of William Maynard

    Born in Brookline, he was a WW II, US Army veteran. He served as a Gun Commander in a Coastal Artillery Regiment. During the war, he was stationed at Camp Wellfleet and Sagamore Hill Military Reservation in Bourne.

    A graduate of the school of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, he also studied for two years at Massachusetts College of Art. Mr. Maynard was on the faculty at New England School...
