    Willy Habl: born on 26.08.1888 in Magdeburg - died on 18.10.1964 in Hamburg German painter, graphic artist and illustrator.

    First drawing and painting classes at the School of Applied Arts in Kassel. Since 1904, training in graphic techniques in Hamburg. At the same until 1909 studied at the Hamburg school of applied arts, last student of Czeschka. 1911-12 study trips to northern Italy and the Balkans. 1914 trips to Belgium, Hungary and Romania. From 1914 he worked impressionistic.

    Severely wounded during the First World War. 1916 and 1919 exhibitions in the gallery Commeter in Hamburg. 1921 Exhibition in Dresden, 1925 again at Commeter in Hamburg. Since 1918 teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts in Hamburg...
