    Yair Garbuz, the painter, was born in 1945 in Givataim. Garbuz studied with Raffi Lavie, Moshe Propes, and Yehiel Krize.

    1989 Grant for an artist in residence at the Cite, Paris, The Council for Culture and Art
    1992 The Mendel and Eva Pundrik Prize for Israeli Art, Tel Aviv Museum
