    Zygmunt Landau learned artistic skills at Jakub Kacenbogen's drawing school in Lódz, then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the studio of Stanislaw Lentz. In 1920, he went to Paris, where he lived in the famous pavilion with studios for artists, "La Ruche".

    On the Seine he attended classes at the Académie de la Grande Chaumiere and Académie Colarossi. In the 1920s, he maintained relations with the artistic community in Poland, exhibiting in Warsaw and Lódz.

    During World War II he lived in Saint-Tropez, then moved to Nice and Paris, and in the 1950s he moved to Israel.
