Crescenzio Onofri was an Italian landscape painter who was a pupil and follower of Gaspard Dughet. He participated in the decoration of Roman palaces belonging to patrician families and collaborated with Dughet on the decoration of the Throne Room in the Palazzo Pamphilj. In 1696, he settled in Florence in the service of the Grand Duke Cosimo III de 'Medici, for whom he created large canvases with landscapes inspired by the hunting in the Roman countryside. He participated in the decoration of Roman palaces belonging to patrician families and collaborated with Dughet on the decoration of the Throne Room in the Palazzo Pamphilj. In 1696, he settled in Florence in the service of the Grand Duke Cosimo III de 'Medici, for whom he created large canvases with landscapes inspired by the hunting in the Roman countryside. He drew inspiration from the landscape created by Dughet and his artwork shows influences from Nicola Poussin and Alessandro Magnasco
