Pointillism

Pointillism
A branch of French Impressionism, it is the application of color with tiny dots or small, isolated brush strokes to create an optical mixture of broken color. Forms are visible in a pointillist painting only from a distance, when the viewer’s eye blends the colors to create visual masses and outlines.
