Mikhail Turovsky was born in Kiev in 1933. Mikhail Turovsky has been living in New York City since 1979. He first studied at the Art Academy in Samarkand along with Ilya Kabakov. In 1944, he went back to Kiev and attended the Shevchenko National Art School. He then completed studying under the tutelage of Tetyana Yablonska at the Art Academy in Kiev. From 1965 to 1968, he studied at the Moscow School of Art. Since the time he lived and exhibited in New York, he gained international recognition.... Read full biography
